Their are big differences between big and small campuses...and whether they are in an urban or rural location.

Big campuses offer a lot of national recognition whether it be good or bad. Big schools are normally known for sports(Penn. Sate) or academics(Harvard). Bigger schools offer more majors to choose from and have a lot more activities on campus.

Small schools offer smaller classes and classrooms.There is a better chance for personal relationships with teachers and friends because you will see them more often. You can also feel like you are a big part of the school.

Go for a visit to the campuses that you are interested in and take a scheduled tour. This way you will know what it is really like.
