With all of the pressure to preform academically and physically student athletes can tend to get stressed out. Listed below are a few strategies that may help to avoid stress.

Positive Attitude: This is the main factor to stress management! Not everything always goes as someone has planned. It is important to relax and have a positive outlook on any given situation. Therefore, a person will see a reduction in stress. Look to learn from your mistakes and build on your accomplishments.

Positive Environment: Surrounding students with peers who encourage them to succeed will reduce stress and build confidence.

Health: This has a major effect on a students body physically and mentally. To reduce stress and maintain focus it is important to eat healthy, work hard, and receive proper rest.

Relaxation: Students should use different forms of relaxation. Massages, deep breathes, sleep, stretching and other forms of relaxation can help to reduce stress.

Accomplishments: Recognizing past accomplishments and looking forward to mastering future goals will help to keep a student focused on their objectives and obtain them in a positive manor.

 I definitely agree about having a positive attitude. That is probably one of the biggest factors involved with becoming successful.
