Time management is needed in almost everyones life. Below are a few strategies that can help a person use their time in a effective manor.

Identify: First spend time thinking about everything from semester goals to life goals.

Prioritize: Figure out how to start accomplishing these goals by setting dead lines of what needs to be accomplished by a certain time (weekly, monthly, yearly).

Planning: It is necessary for students to plan out when their study, practice, and leisure time will take place. Organization is half the battle of becoming successful. Without the process of planning students are already setting themselves up for failure.

Time Zones: This will work as a visual to display the exact day and time of a student's activities. To successfully create time zones it is essential to make one chart per week( 24 hour days and 7 days total). Then fill in class, practice, travel, game, work, leisure, and sleep time. This is a great tool that can help students to stay on top of their daily lives without getting behind.

I find that using the time zones helps a lot. I'm a visual person and writing out my schedule ahead of time helps me to stay organized.
